
The two trails in this 1100-acre wilderness follow North
Chickamauga Creek along its north side. The Hogskin Trail is 3 miles
roundtrip, and the Stevenson Trail is 7.8 miles roundtrip. Both trails are
moderately strenuous. Waterfalls along the way are Power Line Falls, Clear
Branch Falls, and Stripmine Falls.
Directions: North Chickamauga is located 15 miles north of
Chattanooga. It can be accessed via Highway 27. Take the Thrasher
Pike exit and turn left. Proceed about 1 miles to Dayton Pike and take a
right. Proceed another mile to Montlake Road and take a left.
Proceed 1.5 miles to the entrance which will be on the left.
